Rates Published Up Front

Bridge Heating & Gas Services Ltd carries out reactive repairs, testing, servicing, maintenance and scheduled works on commercial gas, heating and hot water systems across Essex, Kent and London.

The pricing below gives commercial clients a clear guide to our standard call-out, hourly and fixed-price service charges. Larger or more complex works are quoted separately following site review.

Call-Out Charges

We apply a minimum charge for attending site to inspect a fault or issue with a commercial gas, heating or hot water installation.

Minimum call-out charge: from £220 + VAT, covering attendance and up to two hours of on-site time. The figure for your site is confirmed when you book.

Time beyond the initial two hours is charged at the applicable hourly rate shown below. Out-of-hours emergency attendance may be subject to a higher minimum charge than standard daytime call-outs.

Free Estimates

We are happy to provide free written estimates before undertaking quoted works.

  • Free of charge and without obligation
  • Valid for 30 days from issue
  • Issued in writing for your records
  • Based on the information available at the time of survey or enquiry

For larger repairs, replacement works, plant upgrades or installation projects, a site visit may be required before a quotation is issued. Receipt of a quotation places you under no obligation to proceed.

Service Prices

The following starting prices apply to commonly requested services during standard hours. The figure for your site is confirmed when you book. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

Boiler / Burner Servicing

From £220.00 + VAT

Comprehensive servicing of a single appliance, including safety checks, combustion analysis, cleaning and Gas Safe documentation.

Additional appliances serviced on the same visit are £150 + VAT each (see Per-Appliance Servicing below).

Gas Safety Certificates

From £305.00 + VAT

Covers the gas meter, accessible pipework and one appliance. Each additional appliance inspected on the same visit is £85 + VAT; catering appliances carry a further £65 + VAT. The figure for your site is confirmed when you book.

Per-Appliance Servicing (Multi-Appliance Sites)

A single-appliance service is charged at the minimum call-out (from £220 + VAT), which covers attendance and up to two hours on site. Where more than one appliance is serviced on the same visit, each additional appliance is priced as follows:

  • Each additional standard gas appliance (boiler, water heater, radiant tube heater) serviced on the same visit: £150 + VAT
  • Catering appliance (oven, range, fryer, grill), uplift on the standard rate: +£65 + VAT per appliance

All servicing includes work in accordance with manufacturer procedure, combustion analysis, gas tightness testing where applicable, defect reporting and Gas Safe certification. Any safety warning notice is issued on site. Service records are normally issued within 5 working days.

Factors That May Affect Final Pricing

The rates above cover standard commercial gas and heating work. Final pricing on any job is shaped by site conditions, plant complexity, and what we find on attendance. Factors that may move the price beyond the listed rates:

  • Restricted access or working at height (access equipment, scaffolding, MEWPs)
  • Complex plant rooms, multi-boiler arrangements, or unusual configurations
  • Out-of-hours, weekend, or bank holiday working
  • Unknown fault history, third-party installation issues or inherited defects identified during attendance
  • Obsolete parts requiring extended manufacturer lead times
  • Additional safety issues identified during attendance that require remedial work

Where any of these affect the job, we explain the impact before continuing. For larger or more complex works, a site survey gives us the picture needed to issue a clean written quotation.

Response Times

We aim to respond to enquiries and call-outs as promptly as workload and engineer availability allow. Our typical aim is:

For a suspected natural-gas escape, contact the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately. LPG users should contact their supplier. Do not wait for a website enquiry response.

  • Emergency (gas escape, Immediately Dangerous): same working day where reasonably practicable
  • Urgent (total loss of heating or hot water): same working day where practicable, or within 24 hours, subject to engineer availability
  • Routine (planned servicing, scheduled visits, non-critical faults): as scheduled

Response times are targets only and are subject to engineer availability, site location, access arrangements and current workload. They do not constitute a guaranteed service level or SLA. Annual Service Agreement clients receive priority response over non-contract clients.

Additional Pricing Information

  • VAT: All prices are subject to VAT at the current rate (currently 20%)
  • Materials: Parts, service kits and consumables are charged at cost plus a reasonable industry-standard mark-up reflecting sourcing, carriage, handling and warranty administration. For specific item pricing, please request a written quotation
  • Annual Service Agreements: Ask us about a Service Agreement proposal for structured annual servicing with priority callout response. Please contact us for details
  • Payment Terms: 30 days net from invoice date
  • Quotations: Larger projects and scoped works are quoted individually based on site conditions and specific requirements
